Leading a learning community of over 1400 students and a team of 100+ educators and staff, Tara S Swamy has dedicated more than three decades to shaping meaningful educational experiences. 

With an M.E. from the Indian Institute of Science, she worked at Malnad College of Engineering from 1984 to 1993. In 1996, driven by a deep commitment to giving back to society through education, she founded Vijaya School to provide quality education and create meaningful opportunities for young learners.

She strongly believes that values, character, and essential life skills must be nurtured from an early age to help children grow into thoughtful and responsible individuals capable of making informed decisions. This vision inspired her journey into school education.

What began as a humble initiative in rented spaces with minimal resources gradually evolved into a thriving learning community through her perseverance, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership.
As an educator, humanitarian, and environmentalist, Tara S Swamy remains deeply committed to fostering love for self, nature, and humankind through educational processes. In recent years, her work has focused on meaningfully integrating life skills, spirituality, environmental education, and community service into mainstream schooling. She continues to spend quality time with students, teachers, and parents, believing that strong relationships and shared purpose are central to a meaningful schooling experience.
