Life Skills Programme
Life Skills programme is designed to provide children with the tools to lead a successful life. The programme is designed around concepts like self-awareness, gender equity, communication, creative thinking, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, value development, and many other related concepts. Children actively engage in this programme to get the best for their lives.
STEM Explorations
Science, Technology, Environment, and Mathematics activities foster a scientific temperament and inquiry among students and teachers. Students learn to question, investigate, experiment, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They engage with emerging technologies that prepare them for world explorations and Innovations.
Literary Enrichment
Students cultivate skills and knowledge in English, Kannada, and Hindi, empowering them to explore and express their voices. Our prgrammes include book clubs, writing workshops, literary expos, and author visits. Students explore various genres and cultural works enriching their literary understanding.
Earth-Friendly Practices
Our serene campus has a variety of trees and plants that have enhanced the microclimate of the campus. We have incorporated rainwater harvesting, eco-friendly festivals, waste management, and compost pit. Additionally, we have rejuvenated ponds and parks.
Thematic School Activities
Our school themes revolve around Sustainable Development Goals. With thematic activities every year, students are sensitized towards local, national, and global developments. Throughout the year students actively participate by taking actions at various levels with the support of the school community.
Research Programmes
Students are actively engaged in conducting research, from conceptualization to data collection and analysis. We provide opportunities for them to present their findings at conferences and publish in journals. Our goal is to cultivate strong research acumen among our students, preparing them for future scholarly pursuits and professional endeavors.
Community Services
We engage students in community services to develop civic responsibility and foster a sense of community. These programmes include volunteering at local organizations and participating in environmental initiatives. Through these activities, students learn valuable skills and develop a sense of empathy and social awareness.
Spiritual Practices
We have adopted a range of spiritual and mindful practices, including rhythmic breathing, Super Brain Yoga, the Sadhana of Forgiveness, Planetary Peace Meditation, observing silence, and welcoming students each morning with soothing classical music. These practices help children develop feelings of oneness, peace, and harmony. Through these initiatives, we aim to support every child’s spiritual development and cultivate a balanced learning environment.
The Hassan Literature Festival
The Hassan Literature Festival (THLF) is an initiative to build a vibrant reading culture and literary space at the city level. Hosted by Vijaya School, the festival brings together students, educators, authors, and the wider community to celebrate the joy of books and ideas. Through author interactions, read-aloud sessions, literary-themed games, and creative writing workshops, the festival invites young readers to engage with literature in meaningful ways. It also provides a platform for dialogue, imagination, and expression. By opening the school space to the city, THLF aims to nurture a community of readers, thinkers, and storytellers who see literature as a living, shared experience.

Rotary Interact Club
The Rotary Interact Club of Vijaya School (Club ID 230112), established in 2006, reflects a strong alignment between Rotary’s vision of service above self and the school’s commitment to developing responsible, action-oriented learners. Anchored in the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Interact Club provides students with meaningful opportunities to take agency in community service and social action. Through planning and leading initiatives, students experience the power of collective action and develop a deep sense of responsibility, leadership, and empathy.

Student Council
The Student Council at Vijaya School is an important platform for nurturing leadership and democratic values among students. Through a structured election process, students actively participate in choosing their representatives, experiencing the practice of democracy first-hand. This process helps them understand their rights and responsibilities as members of a community. The council serves as a voice for the student body, enabling students to share ideas, concerns, and initiatives that contribute to school life. By encouraging participation and dialogue, we aim to strengthen student agency and ensure that students play an active role in shaping the culture and systems of our school.

STEM Club
The STEM Club at Vijaya School nurtures curiosity and a culture of scientific inquiry among students. It encourages learners to ask questions, explore ideas, and apply scientific thinking to real-world problems. Through hands-on activities, experiments, and collaborative projects, students deepen their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The club also prepares and mentors students to participate and excel in science competitions at state and national levels. At the school level, the STEM Club organizes exhibitions and showcases where students present their innovations and projects, creating a vibrant space for creativity, discovery, and sharing knowledge with the wider school community.

SIA Talk is a student-led public speaking initiative at Vijaya that nurtures confidence and authentic expression. It provides a platform for students to find their voice, share their journeys, and speak with purpose. From discovering their anchor ideas to thoughtfully weaving their stories, each student is guided through the process. SIA Talks celebrate student experiences, inspire peers, and build a culture of courage, reflection, and meaningful communication.
