Tara S Swamy, a graduate from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore worked with Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan from 1984 to 1993. In the year 1996, she started Vijaya School with a pure purpose of giving back to society. She firmly believes in cultivating values and skills from an early age to create young adults who take informed decisions and actions. This conviction drove her to venture into school education.  

She made a humble beginning with the school in small rented spaces and minimal human resources. Today, she is leading a learning community of over 1600 students and 120 employees. Her leadership and innovation have led Vijaya School to greater heights.

Tara S Swamy has over 25 years of experience in school education who envisages a learner centric education and guides the design and delivery of academic programmes. As a humanitarian and an environmentalist, she is committed to foster love for self, nature and humankind through educational processes. In recent years, her focus has been on developing innovative techniques to integrate life skills, spirituality, environmental education and community services into mainstream
curriculum. She spends quality time with students, teachers and parents to enhance their schooling experience.
