Suchetha S Swamy is a dermatologist, an artist and a creative mother. Her vision is to provide best skin and hair care to all who aspire to have a healthy skin and hair. Currently, she runs a clinic in Bangalore. Her practice is based on the belief that people from all sections of the society deserve an affordable and quality skin care.
Dr. Suchetha was SSLC district topper (3rd position, 2000) and a gold medalist in M.D. Dermatology (2013), she chose this profession to help people to have a better skin in the current polluted environment and hectic lifestyle. She completed her graduation at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and post-graduation from Adinchunchingiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur. She has treated several patients in various cities of Karnataka and Kerala who were stigmatized due to bad skin at workplace, family and in larger society. In her opinion, good skin and hair is one of the major factors affecting self-esteem and identity. As a dermatologist, along with reassuring treatments, she also plays a role of a counsellor to build self-esteem and confidence in her patients. She finds her purpose and happiness in the growing confidence and contentment of her patients.
Suchetha has a keen interest in painting, craft and vegetable art since her school days. She creates unique art pieces using vegetables and fruits and paints vividly. She expresses that her interest in art started at Vijaya where she got ample opportunities and encouragement from teachers. This helped her pursue the interest in Arts. She says, “My passion for Art finds its way amidst clinic and home”. As a mother, she plans out creative learning activities, art sessions, birthdays and recipes to engage kids productively at home.
“I strongly believe that each phase in life has its own charm and value. It is important for students to learn to enjoy and give the best in each phase of their life especially student life. My message to young students is to live life to the fullest and enjoy the essence of learning journey. Don’t be in a hurry to experience everything as a student, be balanced and aim at life-long learning.”
